Bach Viet Association, Inc. is a non-profit organization that was established in 1982. For over 25 years now, Bach Viet has helped thousands of refugees! Our reach has been world wide, from Vietnam, Iraq, Boughtan, Iran, Korea, Hmong and many more! Through outreach and referral efforts, job placement, vocational training, ESL (English as a second language) Classes, citizenship assistance, translation/interpretation services, we provide the best possible services to our clients.

Over 90% of the constituents served are low to moderate income and are not proficient in English. Bach Viet has received funding from SETA (Sacramento Employment and Training Agency)  for over 10 years to help successfully conduct employment training, and pre/post job placement support.

One of our key factors to success within our community for so long  is the involvement of our interns and volunteers partnered with our amazing staff! In 2006, over 20 community members volunteered to help with our ESL class, provide transportation, translation and mentorship for our underemployed and unemployed clients!
